On Friday 11th May is the opening of the “Locus-Timeless”, a group exhibition of contemporary art at Yedi Kule (Eptapyrgio). The exhibition includes videos, installations, paintings and sculptures  and is going to be accommodated in the former isolation cells as well as in the towers of Eptapyrgio.

An experimental, interactive with the audience performance acted out by the 3th laboratory of Professor George Tsakiris at Fine Arts School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is going to take place during the opening of the exhibition.

A 3D video mapping is going to be projected on building 2 of the former prison during the opening of the exhibition. This will revive the building even for a while by using the architectural characteristic of its facade and by narrating the stories which have happened in this space.

Also, after 20.30 the music group “Light in Babylon” will take us on a journey of no place and no time presenting us with their music, which truly sounds like it is coming from all over the world.

Being based in Istanbul, the group comprises lands, nations and cultures. It consists of an Iranian-Israeli singer, who sings in Turkish and Hebrew, and four musicians who come from France and Turkey.
